OK, so exactly 7 days ago, I got myself a new piercing…

Well, I didn’t get one… I did it myself…

I love piercings so much, I decided to make my own at home…

So, I equipped myself with a safety pin (how punk is that?!) and a pretty cyber blue (what other colour?) ring, a t-shirt to use as a cloth, and some rum to clean the equipment and numb the area (and my brain, 53.5% ABV isn’t going to waste!), I set about looking into the mirror to locate where I was going to put the damn thing…

I decided on my left lobe, next to the tunnel that’s already in place there, the first piercing I had done all those years ago, when I was only 6 years old…

Pain.

It was actually a good experience, and didn’t hurt half as much as when I got my cartilage done 5 times in one sitting… It feels really strange piercing yourself. It’s pretty cool having someone else do it, taking it out of your control, but it’s strange to be in control of your situation in that manner…

I’m definitely going to do some more in the near future.

Why can’t anyone comment on my blog dammit? I know there’s people who read this thing, the stats tell me so, so why won’t anyone comment?

It would be greatly appreciated if someone would comment on here.

In other news, this cyber is bored.

And I’m wearing big pants. And braces.

Cool.

Yesterday our course attended the Microsoft Roadshow Deely at NEWI.

We were told about the new Silverlight browser-embedded technology, a few other things which I wasn’t too interested in, and something pretty cool.

XNA – Microsoft’s new games development system. This runs under Visual Studio, as a plugin. Games can be developed under this platform for windows PCs, but they can also be run on an xbox 360.

Upon hearing this fantastic news, I’ve downloaded Visual Studio Express 2008, and the xna Game Studio plugin. Hopefully I’ll be developing games tonight! =)

Today – Lectures, lectures, and more lectures, with intervals of lectures.

Tomorrow? Who knows?

Well, me. More lectures.

And we got assignments in next week. I need to work on my programming a little, and my Computer Networks a lot…

Anyway, think that’s all

Peace out.

First post of the new week…

On Friday, I went shopping with my girlfriend, the lovely Maria, for some new clothes.

She bought a new corset-top thingy, and some pants from SoHo.

She bought me some synthetic dreads, so I now have a new hair-piece, homemade by me…

Making her one too, but hers will be a hair band, while mine are ties. And hers will be pink and blue.

Anyway, I’ve uploaded a picture of the new hair, and in the process realised how fat I look at the moment…

New Hair

Meh, I’ll get over it.

Just realised, that this post I’ve written one line, then skipped one… Looks like a shopping list or something…

Maria stayed over on Friday night, and we watched Mallrats and The Commitments. Must remember to get her to watch Johnny Mnemonic soon.

Anyway, apart from another crappy day at the assimilationist plant (OK, I work in an off-license, as a glorified till-monkey(Yawn!(Yay! nested parenthesis(brackets)))), this weekend was pretty uneventful.

That is all

DreamHazard

1. I uploaded my avatar.
2. I had a lot of people commenting on my appearance, laughing at me etc. This amused me.
3. I completed a programming task. This is no different to most other days, but I thought I’d document it anyway.
4. Ok, this happened yesterday, but I feel it’s important enough to mention… I recieved an A grade for my multimedia assignment. Check it out! http://dreamhazard.deviantart.com/art/Dream-an-Angel-71934491
5. I drew a cyberpunk landscape, might scan it, might not.
6. I asked my mum to phone someone about internet access. I’m currently only connected to the net while I’m at college.
7. I re-braided some of my hair

Think that’s all.

Oh yeah – 8. I got myself up to date with the lolcats at I can has cheezburger?

Yup, that’s about it.

Well, I’ve been around a while, sampled some of the many delights of the world, including food, drink, sex and the Internet…

And so I’ve come, at long last, to the world of the weblog.

I’ve visited many blogs over my many travels on the internet, and here I’ve seen some good things, and many more bad things…

And I’ve decided to finally create my own.

And so here it is…

The CyBlog…

Perhaps now I should explain the purpose of this blog. It’s a documentation of the everyday life (almost every day, at least) of a CyberCultured citizen. Experiences, things I find funny, rants… You name it, I’ll probably do it at some point.

I’ll be posting projects, current events, and anything else I can think of.

I’ll even have a photo or 2 up soon…
